Curriculum Vitae

According to recent studies conducted by AIGA, new trends in design are showing that the environment of visual communication is becoming more and more diverse. There is greater need for designers to draw upon experiences and knowledge from broader disciplines in order to solve problems. I have a passion for graphic design and a quest for learning more. I am a design thinker, observer, amateur photographer, listener, maker, doer, writer, & value-adder living in Orlando, Florida.

Professional Profile

I am always looking to increase and strengthen my ability to design. For three years I have been developing my skills while working in a leading design role for a privately owned international investment company. While in this position, I continue to supplement my work experience through studying for a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at SCAD and often take on freelance clients that allow me to put my skills to the test.

Nevermore Packaging Design

  • Package Detail
  • Package Detail
  • Bottle Label Detail

This packaging was conceptualized and designed as an alternative to traditional beer packaging during my 3Dimensional Studio coursework at SCAD. As part of the creative process I looked for ways to create an eco-friendly solution while being economically viable. The package uses less material than current options – while also providing a reusable solution during the point of purchase. After the first 6-pack is purchased and consumed, you can re-fill the pack at a discounted rate.

The idea of Nevermore Brewery stemmed from a late night reading of Edgar Allen Poe's poem, The Raven. Each of Nevermore's full-flavored brews is named after the illustrious bird. Nevermore brews Black Bird Brew; an all-American black lager beer, Raven's Roost; a smooth pale ale and finally, Crow's Nest; a coastal wheat brew. This new design features a sustainable approach to bottle packaging.

The covers showcase metallic foiling and UV varnishing effects.

2010 marked the tenth year of the passing of golf legend Payne Stewart, member and resident of Isleworth Golf & Country Club. To commemorate his iconic significance to the sport, the 2010 cover was a tribute to Payne.

Branding & Identity

From the full-on depth of the research & discovery phases of brand strategy to the simplicity of a logo and business stationery suite, I am capable of helping individuals and companies define who they are and how they want to be perceived by their internal and external publics. Discover a small sampling of brands I've helped to establish.

Nevermore Brewery was a brand that I created during a 3-Dimensional Studio class at Savannah College of Art and Design. I designed the entire brand suite from the logo of Nevermore Brewery to each beer they brew.

Waveeater is an innovative, convenient floating breakwater system designed for use in many waterfront applications. They came to me for a re-design of their website in August of 2010. During the questions asked during the website re-design, I suggested their logo could use a facelift. I provided them with an updated logoset and stationery package along with a branding guideline that they would be able to share with designers and clients who will become advocates of their new brand.

I developed a logo set and brand guide for a Tavistock Group owned business development in Mexico City. As Mexico City is a heavily populated metropolis, I centered the design on a flowing Jacaranda tree that is planted outside of the building. The focus was meant to be on the surrounding natural views of the city park and prime location of the office space, just outside of the busyness of downtown.

Inspired by a Graphic Design in Social Awareness class at Savannah College of Art and Design, thedisplaced.org was created to inform the general public of the rising rate of homelessness in Central Florida. The logo shows a missing or displaced "a" and an asterisk, which is meant to represent the homeless and acts as a means to draw attention and callout the often overseen homeless character. I also used a bit of subtle fun by setting the social awareness campaign's logo in the typeface Impact.

Lake Nona Golf & Country Club Kids' Club

  • Lake Nona Kids' Club Logo
  • Lake Nona Kids' Club Logo
  • Lake Nona Kids' Club Girl Gryphon
  • Lake Nona Kids' Club t-shirts

I was asked to re-design the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club Kids' Club branding. I chose to incorporate the gryphon character from the parent Club logo, making it youth-appropriate and easily adaptable to colorful situations. The design has been applied to events, t-shirts, collateral and merchandise.
